How much does tree removal cost?
It depends on the tree and what's around it. A dead pine in an open yard and a big poplar leaning over a roof are two very different jobs, even if the trees look about the same height. Size, lean, what's underneath it, and whether a truck can get close all change the number. That's why the estimate is free and done in person. Trevor comes out, looks at the actual tree, and gives you a price before anything starts.
Do you haul away the debris?
Cleanup is part of the job, not an upsell added at the end. Limbs, brush, and clippings get gathered and hauled off, and the work area gets raked before Trevor leaves. If you'd rather have the trunk cut to firewood length and stacked than hauled away, say so when he quotes it and he'll leave it that way.
How soon can you come look at it?
Usually within a few days. Trevor books his own estimates, so you're not waiting on a scheduler to call a crew. If something is genuinely unsafe, say that when you get in touch and it moves up the list.
Do you do emergency or after-hours storm work?
Get in touch and ask. Trevor will tell you straight whether he can get there today or whether it has to wait, rather than promising a window he can't hold.
If a limb is on your house or across a power line, call your utility and 911 first. Downed lines are their job, not a tree service's.
Do you mow year-round?
Grass in the New River Valley runs on its own calendar. Tall fescue, which is what most lawns here are, comes on hard from April into June, slows down in the July and August heat, then picks up again through the fall. From roughly April into October there's something to cut. Through the winter the work shifts to leaf cleanup, brush, storm damage, and hauling.
