Junk removal and hauling in the New River Valley

Junk removal isn't the headline service here, but it's a real one, and it's usually the last thing standing between a property and being finished.

What he takes

• Furniture — couches, mattresses, tables, the recliner nobody will admit to
• Appliances — washers, fridges, that second freezer in the basement
• Yard debris — brush piles, limbs, old landscape timbers, bags of leaves
• Shed, garage, and basement cleanouts
• Construction leftovers — the pile the last contractor didn't take
• Fencing, swing sets, above-ground pool frames, general metal

What he can't take

Hazardous material is the line. Paint, solvents, motor oil, pesticides, propane tanks, tires, and anything with asbestos in it go through the proper channels, not onto a trailer. Montgomery County and the Roanoke Valley both run household hazardous waste collections, and Trevor will point you to the right one rather than guess. Saying no to that is the honest answer, not a limitation.

How it works

Tell him what's there and roughly how much — a photo on your phone is worth more than a paragraph. He'll give you a price based on volume and how far it has to be carried. Then he loads it. You don't have to move it to the curb first unless you want to, and there's no charge for having it be heavier than you said.

When it comes up

The pattern is almost always the same: something else got finished and now there's a pile. A tree came down and the brush needs to leave. A basement got cleared out after a move. A rental turned over in Blacksburg in August and the last tenants left half a house behind. A parent's place in Christiansburg is being cleared out and it's more than the family can carry.
