Trevor Thomas has run Trevor's Lawn and Tree Services out of the New River Valley since 2024. Owner-operated, which means the person who gives you the price is the person doing the work.
Small on purpose
Trevor started this in 2024 doing what people around here needed doing — grass cut, limbs down, brush hauled off — and it grew from there into lawn care, tree work, landscaping, and junk removal.
He kept it small on purpose. A bigger outfit needs a dispatcher to keep the crews moving and an office to keep the dispatcher busy, and all of that ends up on the invoice. Trevor answers his own phone, walks your property himself, quotes it himself, and does the work himself. When you agree on a price, you're agreeing with the man holding the saw.
That also means he tells you the truth about the job. If a tree can be pruned instead of taken out, that's a smaller ticket for him and he'll still say so. If part of the work can wait until fall, he'll tell you which part. He'd rather have your next four jobs than the biggest version of this one.

What he does
- Mowing, edging, trimming, and seasonal lawn cleanup
- Tree removal, including hazard and storm-damaged trees
- Tree trimming, pruning, and deadwood removal
- Landscaping, beds, mulch, and brush clearing
- Junk removal and hauling
The New River Valley and the Roanoke Valley
Trevor works out of the New River Valley — the stretch of southwest Virginia along the New River that takes in Montgomery, Floyd, Giles, and Pulaski counties, plus Radford. Locals mostly just call it the NRV.
Regular ground is Christiansburg and Blacksburg in Montgomery County, Floyd up on the plateau, and over the mountain into Roanoke. Everything in between gets covered too — Riner, Shawsville, Elliston, Pilot, Radford, Salem.
